The course introduces students to African religion, Christianity and Islam in Africa, and the resultant religious and cultural transformation of Africa. Students explore African cosmological and theological concepts, ancestor worship, the supernatural, and eldership; Christian and Islamic beliefs, and the interfacing of Western and African religions and dynamic transformation of Christianity and Islam on Africans.
