ARTS 305 - Intro-Graphic Design Software Credits: 4
This course introduces students to basic computer skills on the Macintosh platform, using the graphics industry standard Adobe programs: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro. Topics covered will include software tools and techniques, internet use, file formats, graphics terminology, and the Mac OS. Projects will include photo manipulation and montage, computer illustration and page layout. Upon completion, students will have practice with digital workflow, using the Macintosh, navigating the web and using software as a tool to help convey their ideas. This course has been designed to support and expand upon ARTS 210, 310 and 410. Pre-Requisite: ARTS 210. and Fall semesters.
