ARTS 471 - Advanced Drawing


Credits: 4

This advanced course focuses on expanded definitions and practices of marking space. It aims to introduce, contextualize and explore a wide variety of drawing methods of both traditional and conceptual practices. The course is structured to encourage personal voice through idea generation, material investigation, technical refinment and research. Students are encouraged to push the boundaries as they investigate materials, subject matter, process and interpretation related to image making. Prerequisites: ARTS 171, ARTS 371 or 372 and permission of instructor. This class is offered regularly.
