ASTR 115 - Observational Astronomy Lab

Observations and data analysis involving orbital motion, sidereal and synodic periods, solar rotation, age of planets, luminosity and distance to stars, binary stars and spectral classifications. Note: This course must be taken concurrently with, or after successful completion of ASTR 114. It cannot be taken before ASTR 114. Prerequisite/corequisite: this course must be taken in addition to ASTR 114, both on a letter grade basis, to satisfy the General Laboratory Science requirement.
