THEA 415 - MUS THEA II: Scene Study Credits: 4
Advanced course exploring score/lyric analysis, vocal technique, and performance styles of musical theatre. Students will be exposed to a full range of musical theatre styles, literature, composers, and lyricists. The course will include song preparation, audition technique, and partner/ensemble work. Students will be required to perform regularly. Repeatable. Please note: Students who received less than a B in THEA 308, 307, 310, 311, 315, or any 389 performance class must petition to and receive permission from the Acting/Directing Committee for a waiver in order to enroll in this course. Prerequisites: THEA 315 and THEA 308, or consent of instructor. Offered every 2 years as required by student demand.
