WTSN 583 - Electronics Packaging II

This course provides students with a general overview of electronics packaging, the latest developments in packaging technology and applications and roadmaps for the future of packaging. An almost equal emphasis is given to both the fundamentals as well as the applications aspects of electronics packaging. A few applications are selected and discussed; then, the fundamental sciences used for analyzing those applications are presented. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the course is taught by faculty from mechanical, electrical and industrial engineering, chemistry and physics as well as experts from industry. Prerequisite: graduate standing. This course is the second part of Electronics Packaging introduction after the first part, WTSN582-Electronics Packaging I which is Prerequisites: None, but students shall be in or above their senior year of science or engineering major and are recommended to take WTSN 582 first although it is not mandatory. semester.
