ARTS 300 - Communicating With Type Credits: 4
This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of typography as a critical skill to graphic communication. The expressive potential of typography will be explored through its basic history and terminology and a series of directed projects to gain knowledge in the area of typeface selection, legibility and styling to effectively design with type. Prerequisite: ARTS 210, 305. Class is offered regularly. Course fee applies. Refer to the Schedule of Classes. Note: Students that have taken ARTS 315 will not receive credit for taking ARTS 300.
