DIDA 370 - Spatial Fundamentals in R

Both programming and geospatial skills are more in demand than ever before, and can open a world of possibilities for students. In this course, students will receive a broad introduction to programming in R, with a focus on applications for spatial data and analysis. Skills such as data cleaning, manipulation, visualization, mapping, and basic statistical methods will be covered. This course requires no prior programming or statistical knowledge, and will emphasize skills that are valuable to students in any liberal arts discipline. Topics will be presented alongside tutorials and hands-on, interactive activities using R statistical software. Offered regularly. No Freshman.
