EML 492 - Tutoring English Lang Learners

This workshop-based class will meet two times a week to explore language skills specific to English language learners (ELLs). We will focus on the theory, mentoring, and teaching aspects of tutoring, and the language skills needed by English language tutors. This course may be taken before applying to become an ESL Tutor or concurrent with the first semester of performing as an ESL tutor. It is a mandatory course for all ESL Tutors. Prerequisite: ELI/LING 491
