The effective deployment of information technologies and computer-based information systems has strategically enabled enterprises to achieve and maintain competitive advantage. In the context of management imperatives and the rapidly changing business environment, this course examines the role of various types of information technologies and systems in organizations, technical foundations of information systems and the development of information systems. Discussion labs provide the opportunity to become proficient in the use of productivity software, such as relational database management systems. Part of the S-Core.
