CCPA 580 - Intro to Graduate Writing/APA

Students learn to improve a variety of writing tasks including summary, analysis, synthesis, incorporating research and time management. Emphasis on instruction in grammar, punctuation, usage, mechanics, and style issues, as well as in-depth exploration of the APA style manual. Students learn to approach writing as a process that builds step to step, including critical reading, understanding contextual expectations, drafting, using feedback, revising, proofreading, and editing.Course is not appropriate for UG students. UG students interested will require permission of the instructor. Offered: fall and spring.
