CHEM 421 - Advanced Analytical Chemistry

This course will be a survey of recent advances in analytical chemistry. In addition to reviewing recent advances in analytical spectroscopy and electroanalytical chemistry, advanced analytical techniques or methodologies, including scanning probe microscopy and miniaturized chemical analysis, and their applications in emerging areas of materials sciences and nanotechnology, will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. Credits: 4. Format: 3 hours of lecture. Offered: Alternates with special topics in analytical chemistry courses, annually.
