ECON 210 - Race and Gender in Economics Credits: 4
Economic outcomes differ by race, ethnicity, and gender. This course analyzes the source of persistent economic inequality by race, ethnicity and gender, the causes of it, and solutions for it including analysis of government policies. Students will read modern theoretical and empirical articles on the topic. Topics include but are not limited to differential response to competition, labor force participation, participation in innovation and effects of early environment. Prerequisites: ECON 160. Offered regularly.
