ECON 479 - Applied Economics Research Sem Credits: 4
The course introduces key elements of conducting applied economics research. Students will learn how to critically evaluate, develop, and produce empirical research on applied economics issues. We will draw from topics related to the United States, other industrialized countries, and developing countries with emphasis on development, labor, education, health, taxation, and behavioral economics. Open only to juniors who meet the requirements for the Curriculum Honors or J. C. Liu Honors Thesis program. Prerequisites: ECON 360, 362, and College-level Statistics. Corequisite: ECON 466. May be counted as a non-400-level elective toward the economics major. 4 Cr.
