SPAN 171 - Basic Spanish for Travelers II

In this course students will improve their communication skills with practice of more complex topics, with an emphasis on things like restaurant and shopping situations, planning trips, etc. Students will also learn about parts of the Spanish speaking world and will have an opportunity for more in-depth study of some of the places students plan to visit or have visited in the Spanish-speaking world. Prerequisite: SPAN 170 or equivalent is recommended. Students do not need to have taken SPAN 170 to register for this course, but should have some background knowledge of Spanish. May not be used as a prerequisite for other SPAN courses. Offered regularly.
