SPAN 251 - Communication Skills II

In this course, students will achieve greater fluency and comprehension in Spanish. By developing versatile forms of expression they will be able to communicate effectively in different contexts, ranging from conversational to academic or presentational. Moreover, they will review moderately complex uses of the language that will allow them to articulate nuanced ideas and sophisticated perspectives on current and compelling topics. In addition, students will interact with authentic material delivered through different means (textual, visual, audiovisual, digital, etc) as well as carry on projects driven by their interests. Also, they will have the opportunity to strengthen their cultural and linguistic competency by conversing with native speakers from Spanish-speaking countries. PREREQUISITE: SPAN 250, 249, or equivalent. Offered regularly.
