New description: The courses taught under this category explore different aspects of Spanish and Latin American literature, culture, history and language while preparing students for more advanced courses on similar topics at the 400 level. Previous topics have included: “Children’s Literature”, “Introduction to Latin American History”, “The Border and the Chican@ Experience” and “Hispanic Food and Culture.” May be repeated for credit if topic is different. Courses taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 241, 249, or 251.
