Our thinking is intertwined with the technology we regularly use. For instance, writing is a technology we use to structure our thoughts and develop more complex ideas. The rapid advancement of generative AI technologies has profound implications for how we obtain information, develop ideas, and produce writing. This course considers the rhetorical impact these technological changes have for how we connect and communicate. Students will develop a critical awareness of their writing process, design their own multimodal writing project, critically analyze digital interfaces, and cultivate a critical AI literacy.
