ARTS 400 - Typography 2

ARTS 400 ?Typography 2? builds upon the study of prefabricated letters in Typography I and more fully explores typeface design, typesetting, grid systems, and text as user interface layouts. Projects will encompass a variety of graphic design modalities, requiring students to explore interaction of text, image, form and color within a system design framework. The systematic aspects of fonts and text will be explored through software implementations and a series of directed projects to gain knowledge in the area of typesetting for both print and the screen. Offered Spring and Fall Semesters. Prerequisites: 210, 300, 305. Note: Students that have taken ARTS 310 will not receive credit for taking ARTS 400.
