CS 291 - Course Assistant

Practical experience in teaching of computer science by serving as a course assistant (CA) to an assigned instructor for a particular lower-division computer science course. Duties may include holding office hours, covering lab or activity sections, and completing various administrative tasks under the supervision of the instructor. May be repeated for a total of no more than eight credits when combined with CS 291; at most four of the credits may count as computer science elective credits, if not already fulfilled by other independent study classes. Prerequisites: None. Offered every Fall and Spring.
