ECON 356 - Data Analysis with R in ECON I

This is a hands-on introductory course on working and learning from data in economics. Students will learn to visualize, summarize and do some preliminary data analysis using R, and in the process learn some basic statistical tools and their use in learning from data first hand. The emphasis is more on understanding the subject matter visually and conceptually, rather than memorizing and applying formulae. Pre/Co req: Math 147 or equivalent. Econ 160, and Econ 162. No freshman permitted. Offered regularly.
