Game theory is the study of strategy. We study simultaneous games and the concept of Nash Equilibrium, sequential games, backwards induction and credibility, repeated games, games of asymmetric information, auctions, and bargaining. Along with a theoretical understanding of strategy, students will learn practical skills like determining whether the incentive structure of a strategic setting favors cooperation or competition. Prerequisites: ECON 360, College-level Statistics, and College-level Calculus (MATH 220 or 224/225). 4 Cr.
