ENVI 101 - Humans & Ecological Environ
This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary study of how humans interact with living and nonliving components of the environment. This course covers major principles of ecology including material cycling, species interactions, and ecological succession. The scope and direction of human impacts on the environment through population dynamics, agriculture, forestry, and natural resource management are also explored. Policies, economics, and ethics are also considered in how they play into these processes and affect impacts. Course includes outdoor campus nature walks to illustrate facets of course material. Offered regularly. 4 credits. No seniors.
