ENVI 201 - Humans & Physical Environment

Interdisciplinary approach to the study of how humans interact with their environment, emphasizing environmental geology and environmental chemistry. Topics include: 1) human use of energy: sources, environmental consequences (including air pollution), socio-economic aspects; 2) natural hazards and their impact on human activities; 3) use of water, its contamination and waste disposal; 4) introduction to land use and environmental planning.
