MATH 531 - Stats Modeling with Regression

This course is introduces both the theory and application of advanced regression analysis, with particular emphasis placed on the computational aspect of the subject. Topics may include simple and multiple linear regression; the one-way ANOVA table (as an example of regression); confidence and prediction intervals; hypothesis testing; diagnostics for influential observations and model assumptions; multicollinearity; variable selection; transformations such as log, Box-Cox, etc. Weighted and generalized least squares, nonlinear regression. 4 cr.
