WGSS 200 - Intro to WomenGender&Sexuality

An introduction to the interdisciplinary field of women, gender, and sexuality studies that examines a variety of feminist and queer theoretical approaches to understanding gendered and sexual lives in historical contexts. The course will provide an understanding of how identities interact with other social phenomena such as, politics popular culture, and scientific research. In doing so the course will highlight the complexities and variabilities of gender and sexualities in relation to race, class, ethnicity and nation. 4 credits.
