Urban Planning Minor

Requirements:

The six courses required for the minor are:

• One of the following:
  • GEOG 234  Comparative Urban Geography
  • OR GEOG 235  Intro to Urban & Regional Planning 
• One additional course in Geography
• Four additional courses related to urban planning or urban economics such as:
  • GEOG 233  Urban Geography: Race and Place
  • GEOG 234  Urban Geography: Global Linkeages (if not taken for previous requirement)
  • GEOG 360  Foundations of GIS
  • GEOG 333  Retail Geography
  • GEOG 335  Legal Aspects of Planning
  • GEOG 345  Urban Planning Analysis I
  • GEOG 435  Principles of Urban Design
  • GEOG 445  Urban Planning Analysis II
  • GEOG 497   Independent Study (by permission)
  • GEOG 499   Honors Thesis
