Judaic Studies Minor

The Judaic Studies minor requires that a student take at least six courses. These courses should be selected in consultation with the Judaic Studies Director of Undergraduate Studies or the Chair and should consist of the following:

  • JUST 101  Introduction to Judaic Studies
  • Two survey courses in Judaic Studies
  • Three area courses in Judaic Studies in topics such as:
    • Jewish History
    • Jewish Social Justice
    • Communal Service
    • Sephardi Studies

Notes:

  • Relevant upper-level courses may be substituted for survey courses.
  • Three courses (12 credits) for the minor must be at the 300- or 400-level.
  • At least three courses for the minor must be taken at Binghamton University.
  • No course with a grade lower than C and no Pass/Fail courses can be counted toward the Judaic studies minor.
