The asynchronous online Biomanufacturing Project Management Advanced Certificate program integrates biomanufacturing engineering with professional project management. The Biomanufacturing Project Management Advanced Certificate is designed to:

Admissions Requirements
Admission to the Biomanufacturing Project Management Advanced Certificate program is open to applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management, or a closely related area who have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. All applicants must submit the Binghamton University graduate application, including official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, a current résumé or curriculum vitae, and a statement of purpose describing professional goals and the relevance of the certificate to those goals. Non-native English speakers must also provide proof of English language proficiency as required by the Graduate School. Program Requirements
The Biomanufacturing Project Management Advanced Certificate program requires the successful completion of 16 graduate credits, typically completed over a 14-week period. Students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all certificate coursework to remain in good academic standing and to be eligible for the awarding of the certificate. The curriculum is divided into two primary areas: Biomanufacturing and Project Management, culminating in an industry-informed capstone. All courses are taught at the graduate level and may be applied toward other approved graduate degree programs at Binghamton University, subject to program review and approval. Biomanufacturing (4 credits) - BME 500 - Bioprocess and Biomanufacturing (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: None)
- BME 510 - Sustainable Bioprocess Design and Scale-Up (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: BME 500)
Project Management (4 credits) - PM 500 - Fundamentals of Project Management (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: None)
- PM 510 - Leadership Skills in a Digital World (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: PM 500)
Elective Courses (6 credits)
Students must complete one Biomanufacturing elective (2 credits) and two Project Management electives (4 credits): Biomanufacturing Electives (choose one) - BME 521 - Biomanufacturing for Green Chemistry (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: BME 500)
- BME 530 - Biomolecular Engineering for Biomanufacturing (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: BME 500)
- BME 540 - AI and Biomanufacturing Data and Statistical Analysis (2 cr.) (Prerequisite: BME 500, BME 510)
